Police detains attacker throwing 'Molotov's cocktail' into building of ombudsperson's secretariat – Denisova
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As a result of the arson of the building of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights on Instytutska Street in Kyiv, no one was injured, Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisov said.
"Today at 15:10, the attacker threw a bottle with an explosive mixture into the building of the Secretariat of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as a result of which the doors of the premises were damaged. Fortunately, none of the employees and visitors were injured," Denisova said on Facebook.
She also said that law enforcement officers detained the attacker.
"Other explosives were found with him. Investigative actions are ongoing," the Human Rights Commissioner said.
