Poland working on forming coalition to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine – Morawiecki
KYIV. Jan 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Polish government is negotiating with representatives of other countries to create a coalition to supply Ukraine with heavy equipment, in particular Leopard 2 tanks, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
"Together with the president, we are negotiating to create a coalition that would transfer such heavy equipment," Morawiecki said, according to Wyborcza.pl.
The Prime Minister also said independently, without a possible coalition, Poland does not plan to transfer German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
Earlier in The Wall Street Journal, information was published that Poland was considering the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to the Ukrainian armed forces.
