Podoliak: Shefir has no conflicts with Zelensky's team, attempt on him is effort to intimidate this team
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – First aide to the President of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir has no conflicts with the presidential team, the attempt on his life is an effort to intimidate this team, adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak said.
"I see the reaction of certain circles, let us say, fragments of Russian propaganda, which are beginning to throw in information that there are some splits within the team […]. Our opponents from the ultra-patriotic side started to play this game. They take quotes that some media once wrote that there is a conflict between Shefir and other team members. No, this is not at all. Serhiy Nakhmanovych is an active member of the team. And there are definitely no conflicts, disputes or something else that could be the basis for such dramatic events," Podoliak said at a briefing regarding the attempt on Shefir.
According to him, "the assassination attempt looks like a terrorist act, a planned action aimed at frightening the president’s team and creating the impression that an uncontrollable situation exists in the country."
