PMs of Ukraine, Croatia discuss support for demining, veterans policy
KYIV. March 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met in Kyiv with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, the press service of the government of Ukraine reports.
Shmyhal thanked the Croatian side for the visit and consistent support throughout full-scale Russian aggression.
“Croatia is a state that despite the difficult path of post-war reconstruction, has successfully and fully integrated into the EU. Your experience in the field of European integration, post-war reconstruction, veteran policy, and demining is extremely valuable to us,” he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine greatly appreciates the assistance of Croatia, in particular, he thanked for the intention to transfer the Mi-8 helicopters.
In turn, Plenković noted that Croatia is ready to help in the rehabilitation of veterans, restoration, and protection of cultural heritage from war. In addition, Croatia, at the level of the European Commission, is preparing initiatives to assist Ukraine in humanitarian demining.
