PM discusses vision for gas industry development in Ukraine with new head of Naftogaz Supervisory Board
KYIV. March 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has discussed the vision for developing the gas industry in Ukraine with the new chairperson of the supervisory board of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, Anthony Marino.
“I congratulated the new chairperson of the Supervisory Board of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, Anthony Marino, on starting his work. We discussed the vision for developing the gas production industry in our state. A promising direction that can become a driver for the recovery, further development and energy independence of Ukraine,” Shmyhal wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the prime minister, the next heating season is among the challenges Ukraine is facing.
“This winter has become one of the most difficult in the history of Ukraine, but we won the fight for heat and light. We’re looking forward to close coordination with Naftogaz in preparation for the next heating period,” he wrote.
