Plaque with name von der Leyen opened on Alley of Courage in Kyiv
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has opened a new plaque dedicated to President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on the Alley of Courage near the Verkhovna Rada.
"I want to thank Ursula von der Leyen once again. Here, on this square, there are the names of people from all over the world who supported us, supported our state, our people, our economy,” the president said.
I would like the name of President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to appear on this Alley of the Brave," he told reporters after a meeting with the head of the European Commission in Kyiv.
