People deprived of housing in morning missile attack on Kharkiv downtown to receive hostel rooms – Terekhov

KHARKIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Kharkiv residents, whose apartments were destroyed as a result of a missile attack by the Russian occupation forces on the city center on Tuesday morning, will be provided with housing in hostels, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has said.

"We have a reserve of rooms that are used to accommodate people," the press service of Kharkiv City Council quoted Terekhov as saying.

According to the official, the city district was shelled by the enemy numerous times, so many residents had left the damaged multi-apartment building earlier.

"However, we will provide housing in hostels for everyone who needs it," Terekhov said.

He also said that employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and employees of municipal utility services continue to work at the scene. Three Kharkiv residents rescued from the ruins of the residential building are now in a state of shock. Psychologists are working with them.
