Paris to hand over first batch of AMX-10 RC armored vehicles to Ukraine by next weekend – French Defense Minister
KYIV. Feb 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Paris will start delivering AMX-10 heavy armored vehicles to Ukraine by the end of next week, Western media said on Sunday, citing French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecornu.
However, he did not specify how many AMX-10 units will be included in the first batch of this equipment transferred to Kyiv.
Lecornu said the Ukrainian military had almost completed their training on the use of these machines. He continued that France will intensify the training of Ukrainian military personnel, and from March 600 people will be trained every month.
The minister said the topic of a possible transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine “is not a taboo,” however, the supply of these weapons involves “logistical and practical issues.”
