Papir-Mal reaches positive trend in production of paper, cardboard in 2022
KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Papir-Mal Cardboard and Paper Mill (Malyn, Zhytomyr region) increased production of paper and cardboard by 3% in 2022 compared to 2021, to 42,310 tonnes, according to the statistics of the Ukrpapir association.
According to the statistical data provided to Interfax-Ukraine, Papir-Mal, even in January-November last year, showed a negative trend in terms of output of these products compared to the same period in 2021 – a drop of 4.5%, to 35,930 tonnes.
However, in December the mill increased output of these products by 85%, to 6,400 tonnes, and was able to achieve positive dynamics at the end of the year.
In the total volume of paper and cardboard produced, output of cardboard increased by 10.4%, to 38,280 tonnes, while base paper for sanitary products decreased by 37%, to 4,030 tonnes.
The volume of production in monetary terms decreased by 4.7% compared to 2021, to UAH 247 million.
