Overall progress in implementation of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement reaches 58% – Deputy PM Stefanishyna
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The overall progress in the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement is 58%, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna has said.
"For the entire period of the agreement, for half of the time provided for the implementation of the agreement, we have met 58% of all obligations for Ukraine. 25% of these obligations were met in 2021," she said at a meeting of the commission on coordinating the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement on Wednesday.
The most progress over the entire period of implementation of the agreement has been achieved in the following areas: entrepreneurship (83%), statistics and information exchange (84%), government procurement (85%), humanitarian policy (54%), technical barriers to trade (85%), justice, freedom, security, human rights (87%), political dialog, national security and defense (89%).
Among all 24 areas, the least progress has been achieved in the areas of: financial cooperation and combating fraud (24%), social policy and labor force (43%), transport, transport infrastructure, postal and courier services (44%).
The central executive authorities completed 59% of all the activities assigned to them, the Verkhovna Rada completed 48% of the tasks, and other authorities 46%.
