Over 6,400 objects damaged by Russian troops restored in Kyiv region, another 3,700 partially restored – local authorities

KYIV. Feb 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – More than 6,400 facilities damaged as a result of Russian armed aggression have already been restored in Kyiv region. Nearly 3,700 more facilities have been partially restored, but vital functions have been ensured, Mykola Boiko, deputy chairman of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said.

"Despite the difficult weather conditions, we continue to restore our region step by step. In 2023, we plan to complete current repairs in Kyiv region. There are also more than 4,000 housing facilities in the region that require major repairs. Now we are actively preparing to start updating such facilities. Despite to the constant missile terror of the aggressor country, we do not stop for a moment," Boiko is quoted in a message posted on the website of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration on Monday.

According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, work continues in the region to restore facilities damaged as a result of hostilities. In particular, repairs of 5,450 private households and apartment buildings have already been completed. More than 3,300 housing facilities have also been partially restored.

Among other things, work has been carried out to restore 156 institutions of general secondary and preschool education. Another 22 such facilities have been partially repaired. Also, during the entire period, 86 health facilities damaged as a result of hostilities have been restored.

It is recalled that the repair work is carried out for the funds allocated from the reserve fund of the state and local budgets. Also, with the assistance of international partners, organizations and funds, objects are being restored throughout the region.
