OTP Leasing intends to increase funding by 20-40% in 2023
KYIV. March 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – OTP Leasing, the largest leasing company in Ukraine, plans to finance Ukrainian clients in the amount of $120-140 million in 2023, its CEO Andriy Pavlushyn said on Facebook.
“Our plan is to finance $120-140 million in 2023 to Ukrainian clients of OTP Leasing. We have already made $7 million in January and are confidently looking forward,” he said, adding that the level of payment for invoices issued in January was 100%.
Pavlushyn added that this confidence is also formed due to the fact that the company has such partners as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) from the World Bank Group, which partially share the risks of leasing financing in Ukraine.
The CEO pointed out that in 2022 the company’s sales amounted to $100 million. “This is UAH 3.7 billion: tractors, trucks, combines, cars. Of course, we planned more, but life made adjustments,” the CEO wrote.
Taking into account the data published by him at the beginning of 2022, this corresponds to sales in 2017, while in 2018 OTP Leasing increased them to $180 million, in 2019 to $225 million, in 2020 to $230 million and in 2021 to $365 million.
In pre-war January 2022, the company financed customers by $23 million, which was $5 million more than the business plan and $11 million more than in January 2021, according to his posts.
Pavlushyn also said that the total portfolio of the company reached UAH 15 billion, or EUR 400 million, and the fleet of leasing cars grew from 11,000 to 12,000 over the year.
According to him, despite the war, OTP Leasing last year increased the payment of taxes and fees to UAH 220 million (or 1.5 million per employee) compared to UAH 180 million in 2021, and also helped the Defense Forces for UAH 100 million.
