Oschadbank issues UAH 1 bln of mortgage loans in Jan-Aug

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned Oschadbank (Kyiv) issued 1,500 mortgage loans for UAH 1 billion in January-August, which is three times more than in 2020, the bank said in a press release on Wednesday.

According to the report, the bank links the growth of mortgage lending to the change in conditions – a fixed interest rate for the entire loan term under most programs, the maximum loan term is up to 30 years.

Oschadbank was established in 1991. Its sole owner is the state.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), as of June 1, 2021, in terms of total assets, Oschadbank ranked second in the rating (UAH 290.783 billion) among 73 banks operating in the country.
