OSCE not present in Donbas – statement

KYIV. Jan 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) are not present in Donbas and do not use vehicles with the Organization’s identification marks for their own purposes, the organization said in a statement released on Monday.

"The OSCE is not present in Donbas. Should you see any vehicles with OSCE markings in Donbas, know that they are not used for OSCE purposes," the organization reported on Twitter.

A day earlier, Ukrainian war correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko posted on his Telegram channel the photos sent to him, which were taken at a checkpoint near the occupied Izvaryne, Luhansk region.

In particular, the photo shows car transporter trailers with OSCE markings coming from Russia.

"The trailers are carrying white Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs with OSCE markings. It was on such vehicles that OSCE observers traveled around Donbas until February 24, 2022," Tsaplienko said on Telegram.

According to the war correspondent, the Russian Federation may now need such cars for a provocation.
