Operator lifecell launches 4G in 432 more Ukrainian villages in Oct
KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In October, the mobile operator lifecell connected 432 more settlements, where a total of 333,000 people live, to 4G.
As the company’s press service reported on Tuesday, out of the indicated number of settlements, up to 5,000 people live in 415 of them.
In October, according to lifecell, data traffic consumption increased by 31% on an annual basis, and its use per subscriber – by 16%, compared to the same period in 2020, and amounted to 13.3 GB.
In October, lifecell subscribers used messengers by 27% more compared to the same period in 2020. For example, traffic in the BiP messenger grew by 128%. In addition, subscribers used 24% more traffic by watching YouTube videos.
In anticipation of the strengthening of quarantine in many regions of Ukraine, namely from October 18 to October 29, a surge in voice calls was recorded – on average, more than 100 years of total call time per day every day.
Operator lifecell is the third largest mobile operator in Ukraine.
