Operation to safely exit Mariupol was successful – UN coordinator in Ukraine
KYIV. May 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The operation to safely exit Mariupol was successful, the UN will do everything possible to help those people who remain trapped, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani has said.
"I am relieved to confirm that the safe passage operation from Mariupol has been successful. The people I travelled with told me heartbreaking stories of the hell they went through. I am thinking about the people who remain trapped. We will do all we can to assist them," Lubrani said on Twitter on Tuesday.
