One KIA, one WIA amid six ceasefire violations in Donbas in past 24 hours – JFO HQ
KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day, Russia-occupation forces in Donbas violated the ceasefire regime six times, one serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was reported as killed in action (KIA), and another one as wounded in action (WIA). Ceasefire has been observed since Monday midnight, the press center of the JFO headquarters reported.
"The Russian-occupation forces violated the ceasefire six times, carrying out targeted shelling attacks of the positions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the explosion on an unknown enemy device, one soldier of the Joint Forces received wounds incompatible with life, the other one was wounded by shrapnel," the JFO staff said in its update on Facebook on Monday morning.
It is noted that the soldier is undergoing treatment in a military hospital in a state of moderate severity.
In particular, in the direction of Lebedynske, the enemy fired from heavy anti-tank and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. Near Maryinka, the mercenaries used grenade launchers of various systems and small arms. In the New York area, the enemy fired at Ukrainian positions from heavy machine guns and heavy anti-tank grenade launchers. On Sunday evening, enemies fired from small arms in the direction of Vodiane, which is on the Azov Sea, and twice near Novoluhanske.
"During the current day, on September 27, no violations of the ceasefire by the Russia-occupation forces were recorded," the JFO headquarters added.
