One financial company registered on non-bank financial market in Aug, 35 companies leave it – NBU
KYIV. Sept 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In August, one financial company appeared on the non-bank financial services market of Ukraine, at the same time, 35 companies were excluded from the registers, including 11 financial companies and a pawnshop voluntarily and 17 financial companies, two insurers, two pawnshops and two credit unions – forcibly, the National Bank of Ukraine said on the website on Wednesday.
According to the report, the number of participants in the non-bank financial market in August decreased to 1,614. Of these, 127 non-life insurers and 13 life-insurers, 192 pawnshops, 185 credit unions, 108 leasing companies, 860 financial companies (against 887), 62 insurance brokers and 67 collection companies.
The number of banks remained at 68 as of August 31.
There are 24 banking groups, 23 non-bank groups, 38 state payment systems, including state and 16 international ones (all without changes) on the payment market.
The NBU also notes that in August all licenses were voluntarily canceled for eight financial companies and one leasing company, and for five companies – forcibly. Some of the licenses were canceled for 40 financial companies, four insurers and six pawnshops.
In July, the National Bank received 275 requests from market participants for registration and licensing actions (in July – 191). The number of inquiries regarding financial companies, pawnshops and lessors amounted to 187 (124 in July). The number of requests for credit institutions (banks and credit unions) – 46 (48), and insurers – 42 (19).
