KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – OKKO Group sold 14,000 tonnes of bitumen in the Ukrainian market in January-September 2021, and plans to sell another 2,000-3,000 tonnes of product by the end of the year, the holding’s press service reported.
According to it, in the future OKKO plans to expand its presence in this segment. In particular, modernization work is being completed at Kherson oil transshipment complex, which will allow importing tanker batches of bitumen to Ukraine in 2022.
Now the company imports bitumen from Poland and Belarus to the domestic market by overland routes – both in wagon and truck tanks. As of the beginning of October, the holding’s fleet includes 24 own bitumen carriers. In addition, OKKO Group operates 23 tank wagons, and plans to receive another 20 such units of rolling stock by the end of 2021.
"In the coming years, we plan to become one of the top companies selling this oil product, because we have all the opportunities for this. Today, a large number of operators work in this segment, but OKKO has several advantages.
