Oil output in Russia up 0.1% to 387.33 mln t in Jan-Sept

MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax) – Production of oil and gas condensate in Russia totaled 387.33 million tonnes in the first nine months of 2021, 0.1% more than a year earlier, the latest data from the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) show.

Average daily production amounted to 10.4 million barrels in the first nine months. Adjustment has been made for the leap year.

Russia produced 43.86 million tonnes of oil and condensate in September, 7.5% more than a year earlier. Daily production averaged 10.72 million barrels in September.

Rosneft produced 132.52 million tonnes of oil in the first nine months of 2021, including 14.95 million tonnes in September; Lukoil produced 55.67 million tonnes and 6.35 million tonnes, respectively; Surgutneftegas produced 40.76 million tonnes and 4.64 million tonnes; Gazprom Neft produced 28.94 million tonnes and 3.06 million tonnes; Tatneft produced 20.59 million tonnes and 2.36 million tonnes; Bashneft produced 9.4 million tonnes and 1.34 million tonnes; Novatek produced 6.08 million tonnes and 635,350 tonnes; Slavneft produced 6.8 million tonnes and 967,470 tonnes; and Russneft produced 4.92 million tonnes and 574,290 tonnes.

Rosneft took over Bashneft in 2016, but CDU TEK statistics still count Bashneft’s production data separately.

Other resource users, including Gazprom and joint ventures with foreign investment, produced 63.33 million tonnes of crude and condensate in the first nine months and 7.03 million tonnes in September alone. CDU TEK does not separately publish data on production by gas giant Gazprom.

The operators of production sharing agreements produced 12.8 million tonnes of crude in the first nine months and 1.35 million tonnes of oil in September.
