OECD-Ukraine Liaison Office to open in Kyiv on March 1 – Secretary-General Cormann
KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann has announced the opening of the OECD Office in Ukraine (Kyiv) on March 1.
Cormann confirmed at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Prime Ministers Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv on Tuesday that starting tomorrow, the official office of OECD-Ukraine Liaison office in Kyiv will open.
The Secretary-General thanked the Embassy of the Slovak Republic for providing premises for the Office.
In addition, he thanked Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia for financial support for the creation of this Office.
A team of OECD officials will work with the Ukrainian government to develop an OECD-Ukraine Country Programme, so that the OECD can help Ukraine achieve all the priorities that are set within the framework of the government’s reform program according to the OECD standards and principles, as a future member of this organization, Cormann said.
