OECD program for Ukraine may be signed in June 2023 – Shmyhal
KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) program for Ukraine may be signed in June 2023, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said.
“Today we clearly understand the further measures that Ukraine needs to implement as part of the initial dialogue on joining the Organization,” Shmyhal said at a joint briefing with Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Mathias Cormann in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister noted that the government is working together with the OECD to develop a program for Ukraine, the implementation of which will allow the country to move to the roadmap for obtaining membership in the Organization.
“We welcome your proposal regarding the possibility of signing such a program in June of this year,” Shmyhal added.
The Prime Minister stressed that cooperation with the OECD would be an important signal for investors, and will also contribute to the successful development of Ukraine and its European integration.
