Occupiers shell Kharkiv using Tornado systems, damage tram depot – prosecutors
KHARKIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Tuesday, at around 17:00, the Russian occupation forces shelled Saltivsky district in Kharkiv.
"According to preliminary information, the shelling attack was mounted using Tornado multiple rocket launch system from [the temporarily occupied village of] Lyptsi. As a result of the shelling, a tram depot was damaged. In addition, a fire around broke out on 100 square meters area of a garage cooperative," the press service of Kharkiv Regional Prosecutors’ Office said.
Under the procedural guidance of Saltivka District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and rules of war). Later, the materials of the criminal case will be sent to the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region.
