Number of wounded Ukrainian servicemen in Donbas over past day grows to five – JFO HQ
KYIV. Oct 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The number of wounded Ukrainian servicemen in Donbas over the past day has grown to five as a result of 19 shelling by Russia-occupation forces, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters reported.
"Over the past day, on October 29, some 19 violations of the ceasefire regime by Russia-occupation forces were recorded, one of which was with the use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. As a result of hostile actions, five servicemen of the Joint Forces were injured. The soldiers are in a hospital. The medical condition of the wounded is satisfactory," the headquarters said in its report on Facebook on Saturday morning.
In particular, near Prychepylivka, the mercenaries fired from automatic easel grenade launchers. In the direction of Zaitseve, the mercenaries twice used automatic easel grenade launchers and small arms. In the direction of Starohnativka, the enemy opened fire from small arms. Enemy troops used grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Mayorske and twice near Novotoshkivske. Near Novoselivka mercenaries fired 82 mm mortars. In the direction of Katerynivka, the enemy fired twice from grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms. Positions near Vodiane on the Azov Sea came under fire from grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns. Near Maryinka, the shelling was conducted from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms.
Also, the enemy used unmanned aerial vehicles, with the help of which they dropped VOG-17 shots in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska, Lebedynske and twice near Pavlopil. Also not far from Pavlopil, the enemy fired twice from grenade launchers of different systems. In addition, in Luhansk region, an enemy drone, probably Orlan-10, was seen flying over the contact line.
"Our defenders fired back without using weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements and forced the enemy to stop shelling," the headquarters noted, adding that since the beginning of October 30, as of 7:00, no ceasefire violation has been recorded.
