Number of victims of mine explosion on beach in Odesa region increased to three – local authorities
KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The number of people killed as a result of explosion of people on a mine-explosive device on the beach in Zatoka, Odesa region on Sunday, August 14, has grown to three people, Spokesperson of Odesa Regional Military Administration Serhiy Bratchuk said.
"Three dead, two people with injuries are in the hospital," Bratchuk said on his Telegram channel.
Earlier it was reported about two killed and one wounded.
According to the Pivden (South) task force, a group of men, ignoring the announced restrictions on visiting the coast and swimming in coastal waters, neglecting warning signs, arranged a vacation with swimming on one of the beaches.
"During the voyage from an explosion on an unknown explosive device, two died on the spot, one was injured," the task force said.
