Number of bans to be in force in educational institutions of Kyiv from Sept 1 to prevent COVID-19 spread – KSCA
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A number of bans have been imposed in Kyiv, which will apply to educational institutions and inclusive resource centers from September 1 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KSCA) Mykola Povoroznyk said.
"Children will return to schools on September 1. Our task as a city government is to protect them as much as possible from the risk of disease, to do everything to minimize the risks of COVID-19 in schools. For this, the Standing Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations (TEB and ES) has made a decision and introduced a number of bans that will help educational institutions enter the educational process with minimal risks of the spread of coronavirus," the press service of the KSCA reported.
According to the protocol No.53, from September 1 in institutions of preschool, general secondary, out-of-school, professional (vocational-technical), higher education regardless of ownership, and inclusive resource centers, in case of establishing a ‘green’ level of epidemiological safety, to be banned: holding mass events without personal protective equipment worn by all participants; group entry and mass stay in the institution of parents of applicants for education; individual visits to institutions by parents and stay in an educational institution of persons who are not participants in the educational process, without a document certifying receipt of a full course of vaccination or a negative result of testing for COVID-19, conducted no more than 72 hours before visiting the institution.
In case of establishing "yellow" and "orange" levels of epidemiological danger, school applicants will be prohibited from attending educational institutions and holding mass events with the participation of educational applicants in educational institutions, if more than 20% of school staff do not have a document confirming full vaccination; visits to educational institutions by applicants for education in cases where more than 50% of applicants for education and staff of the institution are in self-isolation due to contact with a person with COVID-19.
It will also be forbidden to hold mass events at educational institutions with the participation of applicants for education with more than one group and in the presence of spectators; visiting institutions by persons who are not participants in the educational process; group entry and mass stay in the institution of parents of applicants for education; individual visits to institutions by parents of applicants for education without a document certifying the receipt of a full course of vaccination or a negative test result for COVID-19.
In the case of establishing a "red" level of epidemiological safety, it will be prohibited to visit institutions regardless of ownership by its applicants, except for applicants for preschool education, special schools and students of 1-4 grades of general secondary education, applicants who participate in certification, as well as persons participating in measures to assess the quality of education in the presence of more than 80% of the staff of the institution a document certifying the receipt of a full course of vaccination.
In addition, in case of the establishment of "yellow" and "orange" levels of epidemic danger, education should be organized in a mixed (combined) format – both remotely and at school.
According to the document, it is necessary to ensure the organization of parent consultations/meetings online.
Now the "green" level of epidemic danger is established on the territory of Ukraine.
