NSDC to consider issue of banks' collapse, those responsible for it – Secretary Danilov
(Paragraphs 3-4 have been added)
KYIV. Sept 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine will consider the issue of the banks’ collapse and those responsible for it, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said.
"The next case that will be considered by the National Security and Defense Council on behalf of the President of Ukraine is how it happened that there was no money, additional oligarchs appeared after, let us say, banks’ collapse in our country. These are things that should be absolutely public," Danilov said at the YES Brainstorming conference in Kyiv on Saturday.
As for businessman Igor Kolomoisky, the NSDC secretary said that "if there were no accomplices in the National Bank of Ukraine, he would not have been able to do anything in any way."
"This is an institution that was supposed to control all these things, but today they all work in their positions, they are respected. They [the NBU] should jointly [with the NSDC] go to the processes that we present to Igor Valeriyovych Kolomoisky," the NSDC secretary said.
YES Brainstorming is organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) and Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
