NSDC instructs to renegotiate operation and lease agreements on gas transmission systems – decree
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, along with the State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine, should step up the work on renegotiating agreements for the operation and lease of public gas transmission systems.
According to the instruction of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated July 30, 2021, which was put into effect by presidential Decree No.452 dated August 28, released on the presidential website, an inventory of gas supply facilities of all forms of ownership should also be carried out by January 31, 2022 that are used to distribute natural gas.
In addition, a check should be conducted for the availability of title documents for state property used for the transmission of natural gas, an independent assessment of gas transmission systems according to the results of the inventory, as well as an inventory of land plots on which the facilities of the gas transmission system are located, and the issues of their permanent use or lease should be settled without changing the purpose.
