No need to hand out military summonses at checkpoints – Monastyrsky
KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky declares that there is no need to hand over orders to citizens across the country at checkpoints to appear for registration in military enlistment offices.
"Today we have a large number of volunteers who come to the appropriate recruitment points in order to be mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, today, communicating with our Armed Forces, I understand that today they have the opportunity to select the best of those who wish. Therefore, in principle, today there is no need to notify someone at checkpoints," Monastyrsky said on the air of the national telethon on Monday.
According to the minister, the number of curfew violators has significantly decreased in Ukraine. At the same time, weapons continue to be seized from illegal trafficking at checkpoints and suspects of collaboration are detained, Monastyrsky added.
