No gross violations during Kharkiv elections recorded – police
KHARKIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During Sunday, October 31, the police received 52 reports of possible violations of the law in the early elections of the mayor of Kharkiv.
"All of them are duly registered and thoroughly checked. Two criminal proceedings have been opened: obstruction of the exercise of the electoral right or the right to participate in a referendum, the work of an election commission or commission (one) and on the fact of falsification, forgery, theft, damage or destruction of electoral documents (one)," the communications department of the National Police Directorate in Kharkiv region said.
According to the police, no gross violations were recorded.
All 695 polling stations closed on time (at 20:00).
For a prompt response to emergency events and violation of electoral legislation, the Situational Center of Main Directorate of National Police in Kharkiv region operates around the clock.
