No direct intl special operation against Wagner PMC fighters, but special event conducted by defense intelligence agency – Rada's Temporary Commission of Inquiry head
KYIV. Sept 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – There was no directly authorized special operation regarding the forced landing of a Turkish plane with Wagner [Private Military Company (PMC)] fighters in Ukraine, but a special reconnaissance event was conducted, Head of the Temporary Commission of Inquiry of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maryana Bezuhla (from the Servant of the People faction).
"There was no directly authorized special operation regarding the forced landing of a Turkish aircraft with the Wagner PMC fighters in Ukraine. But there was a special reconnaissance event that was conducted as part of the permanent work of the Defense Intelligence Agency of Ukraine. In particular, work has been conducted since 2014 to document, collect information about persons who were involved in one way or another in the aggression from Russia, to actions in ORDLO," Bezuhla said at a briefing on Friday.
