Nine unemployed apply for one vacancy in Ukraine – Employment Center head
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Director of the State Employment Center Yulia Zhovtiak reported that as of January 1, nine unemployed people applied for one vacant job in Ukraine.
"The imbalance between supply and demand in the labor market remains significant. As of January 1, nine unemployed claim one vacancy," Zhovtiak said at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to her, the majority of vacancies are offered in the processing industry (almost 18%) and in agriculture (17%).
In the professional context, the majority of vacancies from employers are for workers in the maintenance and operation of equipment and machines (25%) and qualified workers (15%).
