NHSU begins to conclude agreements with all partners – Husak

KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for the implementation of the Medical Guarantee Program 2022, the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) begins to conclude agreements with all partners, head of the service Natalia Husak said.

“The National Health Service of Ukraine begins to conclude agreements with all our partners who have submitted their proposals and meet the requirements. The agreements will be valid for the first time from January 1,” Husak wrote on her Facebook page on Wednesday evening.

According to her, the budget of the Medical Guarantee Program in 2022 is more than UAH 157 billion. This is almost UAH 34 billion more than in the past year. “This makes it possible to increase tariffs in all areas of medical care,” Husak wrote.

She also stressed that the focus of the Medical Guarantee Program this year remains the diseases from which Ukrainians suffer the most – physically and financially. In particular, these are the priority areas of inpatient treatment – strokes and heart attacks.

The new program of medical guarantees also increased tariffs for the treatment of oncological and oncohematological diseases.

The increase in tariffs will allow hospitals to purchase the necessary medicines and create decent working conditions for medical workers. And patients – to be protected from catastrophic costs of treatment out of their own pockets,” Husak said.
