New procedure on calculating monetary support for servicemen of Ukraine's Defense Forces to come into force from Feb 1
KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since February 1, the procedure for paying additional monetary remuneration to the military personnel of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is changing in Ukraine, according to a joint statement by the Security and Defense Forces, released on Tuesday.
"The basis for the revision of the order was Order No. 16355/0/1-22 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 29, 2022 and Order No. 16355/0/1-22 dated July 8, 2022. These government documents dealt with the need to optimize the expenditures of the National Budget of Ukraine," according to the statement.
It clarifies that the new order is based on the principle of a fair approach to financial incentives for Ukrainian soldiers and actually eliminates the prerequisites for the emergence of possible social tension in combat units. This is about applying a new approach to the payment of UAH 30,000 and UAH 100,000, introduced by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 28, 2022.
"Now these payments directly depend on the areas where the military personnel are stationed, the complexity and specifics of their performance of combat or special tasks," according to the statement.
At the same time, it states that the size of the monthly (basic) allowance will increase.
