NEURC adopts preliminary decision on certification of operator of gas storage facilities Ukrtransgaz
KYIV. March 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) has made a preliminary decision on the certification of the gas storage operator , JSC Ukrtransgaz.
According to the relevant resolution adopted at a meeting on Wednesday, the decision of the regulator on preliminary certification of Ukrtransgaz will be brought to the attention of the Energy Community Secretariat.
“Certification of the gas storage operator is extremely important not only for Ukrtransgaz, but also for the energy security of our state. This is one of the next steps of the domestic gas industry towards the implementation of European integration processes,” acting General Director of JSC Ukrtransgaz Roman Maliutin said during the meeting.
According to him, successful certification of the company will help increase interest in Ukrainian gas storage facilities in the European gas market and help Ukrtransgaz develop new partnerships.
