NBU to conduct stress testing of banks in spring
KYIV. Jan 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will conduct stress testing of banks this spring, first deputy head of the regulator Kateryna Rozhkova said.
"In 2023, in the spring, we plan to conduct a stress test to understand the time period that the banking system will need to recover," she said.
She added that the banking system would lose about 30% of the loan portfolio as a result of the war.
As reported, the NBU conducted stress testing of 22 banks in 2022.
