NBU predicts decrease in average unemployment rate to 9.4% in 2021, to 8.6% in 2022
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts a decrease in the average unemployment rate in the country in 2021 to 9.4% and to 8.6% in 2022 due to sustained economic recovery and less pressure from potential lockdowns, according to the inflation report of the regulator.
According to it, the nominal wage by the end of the current year will grow by 19.2%, real – by 9.1%.
At the same time, the central bank predicts a decline in wage growth in 2022 to 5.9% from 12.9% in 2021.
