NBU approves indirect ownership of over 25% of Oranta insurer for businessman Yaroslavsky
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On September 29, the National Bank of Ukraine approved an increase in direct ownership of 25.0088% of shares of Oranta National Insurance Company (both are based in Kyiv) for NS-Finance LLC of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, who is the beneficiary of LLC, according to the website of the central bank.
As reported, on September 16, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine granted NS-Finance LLC permission to acquire shares in Oranta, which will ensure that the limited liability company will have more than 25% of the votes in the management body of the insurance company.
NS-Finance LLC in June 2021 increased its stake in Oranta from 9.812% to 24.9409%.
According to the Unified public Register of Legal entities and sole proprietors, NS-Finance LLC was registered in November 2020. The main beneficiary with 99.99% voting rights is Yaroslavsky.
The charter capital of the LLC is UAH 43.4 million.
Oranta is the legal successor of Ukrgosstrakh, founded on November 25, 1921. In 1993, Ukrgosstrakh was transformed, its founder from the state was the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF). In 2007, the SPF sold the last state-owned block of shares to an investor.
The insurer operates with 33 licenses: 15 compulsory and 18 voluntary types of insurance.
