NATO Secretary General, European Commission head discuss situation around Ukraine
BRUSSELS. Jan 10 (Interfax) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed the situation around Ukraine with head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
“We discussed Russia’s military buildup in & around Ukraine & implications for European security,” he wrote on Twitter Saturday.
“NATO continues to coordinate with our strategic partner – the EU as we prepare for the meeting in the NATO-Russia council,” Stoltenberg said.
The NATO-Russia Council meeting is scheduled for January 12 in Brussels.
