National Security Committee recommends Rada to adopt bill on de-oligarchization – MP Bezuhla
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence recommends the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt at second reading bill No.5599 on deoligarchization, Deputy Head of the committee Maryana Bezuhla (Servant of the People) said.
"We considered the anti-oligarchic bill at second reading at the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence and recommended the parliament to adopt it," Bezuhla said on her Facebook page on Friday.
However, Head of the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak said in his Telegram channel that when preparing the bill for second reading, "a total of 13 amendments out of 1,271 were taken into account. Ten votes for, one against (member of the Holos faction Serhiy Rakhmanin), no one abstained."
He also said that according to the committee’s decision, the Verkhovna Rada is recommended to consider the bill under a new special procedure, "that is, without the right of the deputies to put their amendments in the hall. This will be a gross violation of the regulations," Zhelezniak said.
