National Police notify of suspicion another eight occupiers for looting in Kyiv region

KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The National Police of Ukraine have notified of suspicion another eight Russian Guard servicemen, who were involved in looting during the occupation of Kyiv region.

"The National Police investigators have notified of suspicion another eight occupiers who were involved in looting private houses in Kyiv region. Representatives of allegedly elite Russian Guard detachment stole everything the local residents left while fleeing to escape from the ‘liberators’: from underwear to clothes and household appliances," the National Police said on the Telegram channel on Monday.

According to the police, the suspects were involved in looting the property of the residents of Buchanska community in Kyiv region.

"Criminal activities of servicemen of military unit No. 6720 of the aggressor country’s Russian Guard were documented. From February 24 until March 31, acting deliberately, contrary to the laws and rules of war, the Russian war criminals looted private property of the local population. They sent the stolen things from the territory of the city of Mazyr in Belarus to their relatives by post," it said.

The National Police specified that 18 Russian servicemen involved in looting have already been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and rules of war).
