Naftogaz can meet demand of industrial enterprises in gas at market prices – Vitrenko
KYIV. Oct 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy can meet the demand of industrial enterprises in gas at market prices, head of the company board Yuriy Vitrenko has said.
"The question here is whether commercial, industrial consumers are ready to buy gas at market prices. If so, then Naftogaz has always been and remains a reliable gas supplier, and we will meet all the needs of such consumers," he said at a press conference in Kyiv.
According to him, Naftogaz has capacities for additional imports from Europe.
"We have the opportunity to import gas from different European countries: Poland, Hungary, Slovakia. Now a variant of import from Romania is being developed," he said.
At the same time, he recalled that the needs of the population and heat and power plants are met through the company’s own gas production and accumulated reserves in underground storage facilities.
