Nadiyna insurer cuts gross premiums by 34.8% in 2022, increases payments 2.3-fold

KYIV. April 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Nadiyna Insurance Company (Kyiv) collected insurance premiums of UAH 141.2 million in 2022, which is 34.83% less than in 2021, according to the information of Standard-Rating on updating the company’s credit rating/financial stability (reliability) rating of the insurer at uaА+ on the national scale.

At the same time, premiums from individuals fell by 21.91% to UAH 0.385 million, while they were absent from reinsurers.

Insurance payments sent to reinsurers for 2022 dropped by 37.65% compared to the previous year, to UAH 121.462 million. Thus, the coefficient of participation of reinsurers in insurance premiums fell from 89.89% to 86.00%, or by 3.89 percentage points.

The insurer’s net premiums fell by 9.69% to UAH 19.776 million, while earned premiums by 17.99% to UAH 17.003 million.

The volume of insurance payments made by the company in 2022 compared to 2021 grew by 2.34 times, to UAH 2.586 million. Thus, the level of payments rose by 1.32 percentage points to 1.83%.

At the same time, operating profit was UAH 5.943 million, and the insurer’s net profit reached UAH 1.634 million.

As of December 31, 2022, the company’s assets grew by 13.7%, to UAH 60.792 million, equity by 3.41%, to UAH 49.086 million, liabilities by 95%, to UAH 11.706 million, cash and their equivalents by 23.65%, to UAH 13.376 million.

The company was registered in the unified public register of legal and sole proprietors in 2006. Its charter capital is UAH 15 million.
