MPs propose to prematurely terminate powers of parliamentarians elected to Rada from Opposition Platform – For Life
KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A group of deputies proposes to prematurely terminate the powers of parliamentarians elected to the Verkhovna Rada on the lists of the Opposition Platform – For Life party.
Corresponding draft resolution No. 7694 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, the parliament’s website reports.
The draft resolution proposes to prematurely terminate the parliamentary powers of some Ukrainian deputies, the subject of whose nomination was the political party Opposition Platform – For Life. According to the authors of the draft resolution, the basis for the termination of the powers of the deputies from the party is their active anti-Ukrainian activities, the withdrawal of deputies from the parliamentary faction of this party and their permanent residence outside Ukraine.
There are 42 parliamentarians on the list of deputies who are proposed to be deprived of their parliamentary powers ahead of schedule, including Yuriy Boio, Serhiy and Yulia Liovochkiny, Vadym Rabinovych, Renat Kuzmin, and Natalia Korolevska.
