More than 2 mln tonnes of agricultural products exported from Ukraine within Black Sea Grain Initiative – UN
KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) allowed six ships to leave Ukrainian ports on Tuesday as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the UN reports.
The JCC sanctioned the departure of six ships transporting a total of 87,442 tonnes of grain and other food products as part of the Black Sea grain initiative, the report says.
The UN specified that the ships Irmgard (27,500 tonnes of wheat and 7,179 tonnes of corn) and New Levant (26,500 tonnes of wheat) will go to Turkey, and the ship Queen Sara (11,000 tonnes of corn) will go to Egypt. The Vitis vessel will deliver 5,800 tonnes of sunflower oil to Italy, the Ocmis Adventure will go to Greece with 4,862 tonnes of corn, and the ship Oris Princess will go to Israel with 4,510 tonnes of sunflower meal.
As of September 5, the total tonnage of grain and other food products exported from three Ukrainian ports is 2,125,530 tonnes. A total of 197 ships have been permitted to move – 107 arriving at Ukrainian ports and 90 departing from them, the report says.
Earlier it was reported that more than 1.5 million tonnes of Ukrainian food was exported in August as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
