Montenegro declares Russian diplomat persona non grata
KYIV. Aug 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The authorities of Montenegro on Friday declared a Russian diplomat persona non grata; he must leave the country within the week, the Montenegrin Foreign Ministry stated.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared a diplomat from the Embassy of the Russian Federation, who is accredited in Montenegro, persona non grata due to an activity contravening Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the statement said.
The official note of the decision has been handed to Russian Ambassador Vladislav Maslennikov.
