CHISINAU. Oct 5 (Interfax) – Moldovan Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo, who was suspended earlier on Tuesday amid a criminal case opened against him, has been detained by the officers of the Moldovan Information and Security Service, the country’s media reported citing prosecutors, who claimed to have been witnesses to Stoianoglo’s apprehension.
Video clips posted on social media suggest that anti-corruption prosecutors and people wearing the Information and Security Service uniform and masks entered the building of the Moldovan Prosecutor General’s Office shortly before Stoianoglo was detained.
