Moldovagaz CEO announces full settlement with Gazprom for Aug, partial advance for Sept
CHISINAU. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Moldovagaz has remitted full payment of $41.71 million to PJSC Gazprom for supplies of natural gas consumed in August, Moldovagaz CEO Vadim Ceban wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
Ceban said that Moldovagaz had transferred the final tranche of $9.67 million for August to Gazprom the day before, as well as $2 million as part of the advance payment for September. Meantime, the total amount of the transfer is $35.89 million.
"Moldovagaz is in constant contact with the Moldovan government, as well as with Gazprom, in order to ensure the payment of advances, and in order to maintain uninterrupted supplies of natural gas to the country," Ceban stressed.
Gazprom’s gas costs $1,458 per 1,000 cubic meters in August, and $1,883 per 1,000 cubic meters in September.
