Ministry of Veterans to form Register of providers of psychological rehabilitation services for Ukraine's defenders, their families
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine responsible for the formation of the Register of providers of psychological rehabilitation services for veterans and their families.
"We are talking about the procedure for the psychological rehabilitation of the victims of the Revolution of Dignity, ATO participants and persons who carried out measures to ensure national security and defense, to repulse and contain the Russian armed aggression in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, their families and the families of the victims," the ministry’s press service said.
It is noted that the formation of a list of subjects for the provision of psychological rehabilitation services is currently being carried out by each district agency for social protection of the population, which leads to a restriction of the rights of service recipients to freely choose a provider of rehabilitation services, in particular, based on geographical location.
In addition, the ministry says the district social protection authorities are not able to carry out inspections and control the quality of the provision of services, since they do not have both financial and human resources to carry out such inspections.
"We asked the government to appoint our ministry responsible for the formation of the Register of providers of psychological rehabilitation services for Ukrainian defenders and their families. This will improve the quality of services and the responsibility of subjects for compliance with the relevant requirements, in particular, the qualifications of specialists providing rehabilitation services," the ministry said.
