Ministry of Agrarian Policy pays UAH 390 mln to compensate for single social security contributions to family farms as state support

KYIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Family farms received UAH 389.72 million in additional payments to compensate for single social security contributions by the states as part of the program to support farmers, the funds were accrued for 2020 and the first half of 2021, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported on the website on Tuesday.

According to Minister Roman Leschenko, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for compensating for single social security contributions as additional financial support in 2019 by Resolution No. 565 dated May 22, but the planned payments were never made.

"Finally, after the signing of the resolution, it was possible to transfer about UAH 400 million to an off-budget account to help family farms to pay single social security contributions. These funds were supposed to be paid both in 2020 and in 2021. However, due to the lack of software service to ensure connection with the State Treasury Service the ministry failed to do this," the minister said.

Leschenko said that the allocated funds have already been transferred to the accounts of family farms in the State Pension Fund.
